Arka Gdynia have sacked manager Marek Jarolim. The decision follows another defeat for the team, which sits 12th in the I Liga table with just 11 points from nine matches.

The Gdynia-based club lost their last match 2-1 to Pogoń Siedlce. Over the last five games, Arka have managed only one win, two draws, and two defeats. This run of form prompted the board to make a change in the dugout.

Mirosław Chodakowski is set to be appointed as the new Arka manager. The former Śląsk Wrocław coach is awaiting official confirmation from the club's authorities. Chodakowski's task will be to quickly turn the team's fortunes around.

The new boss faces a tough challenge. Arka Gdynia have scored 11 and conceded 11 goals this season.

His first test will be a match against Polonia Warszawa, scheduled for October 10th. Polonia currently sit 6th in the table, making it a demanding fixture.

The team now has a fortnight to prepare under the new coaching staff. Improving form before the October clash will be vital.
