Arka Gdynia suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Pogoń Siedlce in Sunday's I Liga matchday 9 fixture. It marks a second consecutive loss for the Yellow-Blues, who drop to 11th place with 11 points.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 39th minute through M. Rosolek, assisted by K. Mis. Arka responded just before the break. In the 44th minute, K. Gruszkowski converted a pass from S. Szota to level at 1-1. Pogoń seized the initiative in the second half, however. The decisive goal came in the 71st minute from S. Kobusinski, set up by L. Trepka.
Arka's manager made five substitutions, including bringing on K. Solecki and E. Rama, but it failed to turn the tide. K. Gruszkowski was booked in the 51st minute, as was S. Lewkot in added time.
The Gdynia side now has a break for the international window. Their next match is not until October 10th, at home against Polonia Warszawa. Keep track of the current squad and league position on our site.
