Arka Gdynia face a key match in their battle against relegation when they host Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza on Saturday, 24 October, at 15:30 at the Stadion Miejski in Gdynia. The Gdynia side, currently 15th in the I Liga table with just 11 points, have lost five of their last seven matches and have not earned a point in over two months. This fixture against third-placed Nieciecza is of immense importance.

Arka's coach, Tomasz Grzegorczyk, admitted the team's atmosphere needs improvement but hasn't lost hope for a quick turnaround. “We don't want to fall into apathy.” said Grzegorczyk. He also stressed the role of defence, quoting an old football saying: “It's not just an ordinary saying that the biggest trophies are won with good defence.”

Table context and form

Arka's situation is difficult. In their last five league games, they have recorded just one win, and in their last match they lost 2-1 to Lechia Gdańsk. This season they have scored 13 goals but conceded 15. They trail the leaders, Pogoń Grod. Mazowiecki, by a full 10 points. Opponents Nieciecza arrive in excellent form, having won four of their last five matches. The last meeting between these teams, in November last year, ended in a 2-0 defeat for Arka.

The club is encouraging fans to arrive at the stadium early, which will open 90 minutes before kick-off, to avoid queues. Electronic tickets must be presented as a PDF file, not a screenshot. Ticket sales will be available at kiosk number 2 from 10:00 and at kiosk number 4 from 14:00, where press accreditation and item deposits can also be handled.

A charity collection for an animal shelter will take place during the match. The 'Dołóż swoją cegiełkę' campaign is also running, where for every 5 zloty brick purchased, one child joins the matchday squad. The official club shop, located at the corner of the stadium near Stryjska Street, will be open from 10:00 until 30 minutes after the final whistle.

For Arka, this match is a chance to reverse an unfavourable trend and secure their first points since August. Future events in the fixtures schedule will depend on the outcome of this clash. A home game could be the turning point in a season that has not gone the way of the Yellow-Blues so far.
