Arka Gdynia's adventure in Ekstraklasa ended after just one season, a result of the work of two coaches. Dawid Szwarga, who left on March 25, and Dariusz Banasik, who took on the difficult task of saving the team. Banasik, despite the relegation, does not regret his decision to join Arka. In an interview with TVP Sport, he emphasized that many factors contributed to the relegation, and it is easiest to blame the coach. During his short time in charge, Banasik only won one match, which was not enough to keep the team in the league. Arka Gdynia was already doomed to relegation a week before the end of the season. Banasik revealed that he found a team that struggled offensively and quickly conceded goals after losing the first one. Changing the tactics to an offensive approach worked in the first two matches, but then the team started losing again. The former coach noted that the team was too rigidly bound by tactical frameworks, which limited their capabilities. Ultimately, the lack of commitment from some players also contributed to the relegation.
