Arka Gdynia has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Czech club Slavia Prague, which could signify a new era for the club in the Ekstraklasa. Following a season in which the Gdynia team finished second to last and was relegated to the I liga, this new collaboration aims to improve sporting results and organizational development. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Arka, Marcin Gruchała, emphasized that Slavia Prague is a modern club that regularly wins the Czech championship and competes in the Champions League. The agreement includes an exchange of experiences in scouting, data analytics, and physical preparation. Additionally, the clubs plan to hold regular strategic meetings to strengthen their collaboration. Although Dariusz Banasik, the current coach, expressed a desire to continue working, his future at Arka remains uncertain. The potential new coach could be Marek Jarolim, which is also part of a larger development plan for the club. The partnership with Slavia Prague provides Arka Gdynia with an opportunity to gain know-how that could be crucial in their pursuit of a return to the Ekstraklasa.
