Arka Gdynia Like No Other
Jarosław Kotas finds it surprising that Arka Gdynia managed to reassemble a formidable squad despite returning from the Ekstraklasa, an experience he struggled with. He praises new directors for their strategic move in hiring.
‘’Arka Gdynia’s return to 1st League was unexpected, and even though I was prepared to support them financially, it was hard not to be pessimistic after their relegation. However, Tomasz Wichniarek’s efforts as sports director left me impressed; he managed to build an impressive team. The victory away from home against Odra Opole was a surprise win, and although we haven’t celebrated yet with champagne in Gdynia, it does give hope for future success‘’, Kotas noted.
Too Soon for Champagne Celebration in Ark Gdynia
While praising their recent achievement, Kotas warns that the team will face scrutiny on financial matters. He sees potential in victories and hopes for a stable long-term reward system: ‘’If Arka continues to perform well and avoid relegation, it’s only fair we celebrate with champagne after more matches. Especially in light of our rivalries like Lechia Gdańsk; if they continue to succeed, Gdynians deserve a night out‘’.
Smartly Assembled Squad by Ark Gdynia
Kotas highlights the role of acting director Tomasz Wichniarek in assembling a strong squad with notable transfers such as Vladislavs Gutkovskis and Kamil Zapolnik. He also admires Bartłomiej Pawłowski’s crucial contribution to the team despite previous health concerns.
‘’Dominik Kun, who can handle midfielder duties, and his brother Patryk, a veteran player, ensure Arka now has a robust defense. These players give us hope for a competitive future in 1st League‘’, Kotas continued.
Czech Influence and Highest Budget in Ark Gdynia’s Strategy
While praising the strategic moves, including bringing in Czech coaches and their highest budget in the league, Kotas remains skeptical about their sustainability without immediate financial benefits. He questions if the high spending will be justified by the success of the transfers involved.
‘’The strategy to bring in Czech players for Arka Gdynia might not show immediate results but could prove beneficial eventually. The highest budget we’ve seen in 1st League is a testament to our ambition, and while the team has potential, it’s too early to evaluate their success fully‘’, Kotas concluded.
